Florida Hair Braiding Training Course

Interested in professional hair braiding education? This self-paced online course is designed for individuals who want training in sanitation, health awareness, and industry-related topics associated with hair braiding services.

What can you do with this certificate? 

A person that uses techniques that result in tension on hair strands, such as twisting, wrapping, weaving, extending, locking, or braiding of the hair, by hand or mechanical appliances for compensation, without cutting, coloring, relaxing, removing, chemically treating, or using other preparations to straighten, curl, or alter the structure of the hair.   

Until recently, 2020, The Hair Braiding License was a board requirement, now it is a requirement to work in most Florida salons and should still be had if you are a hair braider.

Important Florida Information

Florida does not currently require a state-issued Hair Braiding license or certification to perform hair braiding services. Because of this, completion of this course does not result in a Florida state license, registration, or certification.

Upon successful completion of this training, students receive a Certificate of Completion issued by Ross Beauty Academy as documentation that the course was completed.

Many students still choose to complete this training because salons, employers, booth rental locations, marketplaces, and private businesses may request proof of training or education before allowing services to be offered.
